Things to Pay Attention To:

1. The line filling the point of discontuity is at the point -2.

2. Since both trig functions are negative, the polar equation has a central point in the 3rd quadrant.

 

This is a strange graph.

 

Did you see....?

1. In the first graph, what is ihis picture doing?

2. In the second, with both trig functions positive the graph is reflected across the y-axis.

3. When I changed the numerator to 5 from 2, the graph spread apart.

Now let's see what happens when n is placed in the equations.
